Passionate about loving, personal cat care

My name is Stuart and I have adored cats for as long as I can remember. I have looked after cats for family and friends for many years, and spend as much time as I can volunteering at a local cat sanctuary. After 40 years working in finance, I wanted to do something that I'm actually passionate about - hence Preferred Cat Sitting!

Catteries can be a good choice, but from personal experience and after seeing my previous cat struggle in a cattery (not to mention the heartbreaking moment you leave your cat behind in an unfamiliar place), I firmly believe that cats are much more comfortable being cared for in their own homes.  In-home cat care removes the potential stress for your cat of being in unfamiliar surroundings, not to mention the reduced stress to us as cat parents knowing that our cats are happy in their own homes.

I will call to see you for a free 'meet and greet' where we can get to know each other and tailor the visits to your precise needs. All cat visits will be for a minimum of 30 minutes, and will include:

*Food, water, treats, medication if needed

*Play/strokes/affection/grooming if requested

*Litter tray cleaning, keeping feeding area clean and fresh

*Daily updates with photos/videos

*Home care and security, e.g. a check of all rooms in the house, closing/opening blinds/curtains, turning lights on and off, watering plants, putting out and taking in bins

If you also have fish, hamsters/small rodents as pets I will happily look after/feed them, no extra charge.

I am DBS Checked, fully insured, and Cat Health and Medications trained.

I am based in Middleton, but cover all surrounding areas of Manchester, Rochdale, Bury, Oldham, etc. If you think I am too far away and wouldn't travel to you, please still get in touch - I am willing to travel any reasonable distance.

I will arrive in an unmarked car so anyone seeing me enter your home does not know what I am there for and as such, that you are away from home. I will also arrive at differing times, again for home security purposes.
